On Tuesday I was lucky enough to be taken to Harrods in Knightsbridge, London. I've been several times before but I tend to stick to what I know and go to the same restaurant each time.
However after my cream tea in 'The Tearoom' I decided to head down to Laduree to buy takeaway macaroons. The restaurant itself is located in a much quieter part of the shop but is still wonderfully atmospheric. Laduree actually offers an extensive range of meals, afternoon tea, sandwiches, drinks, cakes and of course the signature macaroons.
Despite feeling tempted, I stuck to what I went in for and opted for the macaroons. Upon being presented with an array of colours and flavours I decided on a rose petal, a vanilla, and a strawberry and marshmallow macaroon.
The cost of three came to nearly six pounds but i have to admit, they were absolutely delicious! I completely see what all the fuss is about. Particularly the rose petal flavour. I even think i might have a new restaurant for my next visit!
